Element help

I know this is probably a hard question to answer as it probably has lots of variables but if I am using a 5500 watt uldw element in a uninsulated keggle, how fast should I expect to get the wort/MLT water to a boil? Is this one element going to be overpowered if I mainly do 5 gallon batches or should I just use the bigger element and tune it down with the PID?
