Just throwing this out there.


For those with an electric stove, how about making a connector you could plug into the electric element plug and use it to run an immersion element in the kettle?

Pro's and con's?
 
The power feed might not be enough, but if you were running it from one burner spot, and also heating on another burner, you'd get a nice boost.
 
Your stove is not on a GFC breaker (ground is hardwired). Now you will have to somehow connect a ground to your element or pot and if your power doesn't have GFCI and you lose the ground connection, this could be dangerous.
