I currently have a 3 tier cooler set up for AG.

I want to start brewing BIAB AG with an electric setup.

I am undecided on controller at this point so I figured I would start with a new kettle.

My current kettle is an 8 gallon set up with valve, thermometer and bazooka screen

My though is to go to a 10 or 15 gallon pot for 5 gallon BIAB batches.

I will not be going to 10 gallon batches unless something seriously changes and I end up splitting batches down the road

I have seen people advising Country Bayou, AIH and Concorde on the cheap end and then going weldless from there

Considering clearance for E-BIAB and a $200-300 budget for pot, thermometer, heating element what would you suggest. I would also like either a sight glass or pot marks on the inside of the kettle.

When I bought my brew kettle I was worried about spreading the heat evenly across the bottom so I bought one of the tri-metal bottom pots. But that was for propane. Now that I have punched a hole in the side and mounted a heating element the extra I spent for a nice pot seems like a waste.

If I were to buy over again I would get a pot like one of these.

I think SPike brewing is my answer.

Good quality and can get a 1" or TC added without me having to mess with it

I would recommend a 15 gal kettle over a 10 gal kettle for BIAB. That will allow you to brew a 5 gallon batch of any style, even something like a RIS with a really large grain bill, with full-volume, no-sparge.
