Well I brewed my first all grain this Saturday and everything was on the money!!! Mash temps sparge temps and pre boil volume!!! Woohoo!! This was possible due to the amount of help and knowledge here at HBT so THANK YOU!!! Now I was wondering how good my efficiency was how do I calculate this?

If you want an easier method, enter your recipe in software, like Beer Smith, and then adjust the efficiency number until you get your actual OG (as per your hydrometer reading before pitching your yeast)... There's also a button "Brewhouse Efficiency" that you can enter information into to obtain your actual efficiency...

well hooked up my numbers to beersmith and looks like i got 80.77% efficiency on my first all grain!!! thanx for your help once again!!
