I've got a good friend looking for some EDME Red Ale malt; it's his fave by far - but I can't source it anywhere.

Are they still in business? Where can I chase this stuff down?

Can we replicate its characteristics if it's unavailable?

Thanks in advance....

S-33 is the EDME strain.
Uhhh - this may be a bit of a tell as to just how much of a rookie I am...but what does this mean?

Means I've got some reading to do.

S-33? Keep talking. Where do we go from here?

Edme kits are no longer available, if you could give a description roughly I could point you towards an extract recipe that would be similar. Arcanexor is talking about Edme yeast which is available still as s-33 from Fermentis.
