After brewing an (Imperial? Yeah, right!) choc cherry stout that already had a bunch of flaws during the process, I was ready to bottle tonight. To cut a long story short, my siphon stopped working and I oxygenated the sh!t out of the beer and stirred up all the yeast sediment while trying to get it going again. I had already added the priming sugar to the bottling bucket and it would've been too much for the amount of beer I could mange to get transferred over. I didn't want to wait 3 weeks to taste overcarbonated cardboard stout, so in absolute frustration, I dumped it all down the bathtub. I'm so angry right now!

Hope this helps, man.

I am of the (almost) never dump school. I had something similar happen but couldn't bring myself to dump it so I just put a lid and airlock on my bottling bucket and let it ferment away the priming sugar and settle the yeast back out for another 2 weeks. Then I went ahead and re-primed and bottled. It actually came out fine with no wet cardboard. I've learned that there are very few things that will actually ruin a batch of beer. That said, I have over the years discovered a few of them. Best remedy is to brew again ASAP.

I did the same exact thing once, but I cold crashed overnight to resettle the yeast and then bottled the next day. Oxidation is never good, but it wasn't horrible in my case. It ended up being a decent northern brown. My condolences.
