File this one into the newbie all grain brewer category.. what exactly is a keggle and how is it used? Yes... it's an idgit question to the point all I can find it how to make one.... but not exactly what it's for.

I'm familiar with the MLT of course... but a keggle? Help!

Sincerely,

Embarassed brewer.

A keggle is a kettle made out of a sankey keg. It can be used as an HLT, MLT, or boil kettle.

Remove the spear, cut a hole in the top, weld in some fittings as desired, and voila.
