I posted about a partial mash kit for Diamond knot IPA that I brewed up a month ago. I just took my FG reading, and had a sip. All is going great, and for a flat 68 degree beer, it tastes pretty darn good
My question is, the instructions say to dry hop when racking from the primary to the secondary. I however have been reading here that it is generally advisable to dry hop for no more than 3-5 days.
I chose to wait for the fermenting to finish, and when the FG reading was the same for three days, I dropped the hops in.
I'm planning to leave it for three or four days.
The directions said rack to secondary, add hops, and wait 4-14 days.
What do you think of my plan? I hate to be the new guy, who ignores the instructions, but some of the info here made me skeptical.
Thanks for your advice
