Hey, kids! I need some advice regarding dry hopping in a unitank... I just finished a 10 gallon batch, but lost about 3 to hop sludge mess.... How would Vinny get 10 oz of pellets in a beer without filling the whole cone with sludge?? Should I dry hop in the keg, rather than the tank where I could use a bag? How do you lads cope with this??? Cheers!

Whether in a bag or loose, fermenter or keg, the hops will steal some of your beer.

So the main concerns, to me, are preventing clogs and getting the hop character you're seeking. A bag or screen cylinder(s) can go in your unitank and/or kegs. Loose hops in fermenter can be trouble for transfer, but many have succeeded with cold crashing and a filter such as the Bouncer in-line filter.

Best of luck!
