Dry Hop in Sankey

If this has been covered forgive me, but I couldn't find the answer...

I dry hop in Corney kegs all the time, but was wondering about doing so in a sankey. A brewery I work with uses Sabco conditioning and serving kegs for the specialty beers that have a four inch tri clamp opening that the sankey valve/ spear fits onto, so adding the hops and cleaning later would be easy. Does anyone know how close a sankey spear gets to the bottom of the keg? I'm considering dryhopping in the serving keg (in a hopbag) but don't want to risk clogged lines with a full taproom...

The sanke spear has some slots in it that you could tie the bag strings to so that the bag doesnt rest fully on the bottom. Just a thought?

I dont know how far of the bottom the sanke tube goes, but its gotta pretty darn close, I would think no more than a 1/4".

That's probably a good idea...I'll be brewing there tomorrow so will check that out and report back in case anyone else is interested...
