Started brewing about three months ago and am always on HBT on my phone researching the next brew, learning techniques, troubleshooting problems, etc...didn't really notice how much until she actually said one day after asking me for the 100th time in a week..."what are you looking at on your phone?"...when my answer was again "beer"...she said "I almost miss when you used to just surf porn"

Lmao absolutely love it I just wish I had more room so I could brew even more :) I practically live on here as well lol

best advice I can give is buy Dr, John Grays book men are from mars and women from venus! I bought this and read a few pages per day, my wife started reading it too. We are learning alot about the other sex, Go buy her her favorite candy bar, or somthing simple, youll get points and it might soften her a little on th beer obsession.

My best advice- find a beer she likes. Make it a Quest. Then there is a common interest. And tastes change as people learn to drink it and expand their tastes.

For me at least when I brew it is my time and I am lucky enough to have a wonderful wife that understands it. I have stopped talking to her about it because her eyes would glaze over though.

She kind of got a shock though when she got here. I asked her what she would like for me to brew for her and she said some vodka so she could make a mixed drink she likes. I guess it is legal to distill in NZ and she was bummed that I would not distill here in America

NZ is one of the few countries where it is legal

I know you arent the only one that has this problem. Just wait until you start all grain brewing and your brew days get a lot longer. of course you can make up for this a little bit by while your grains are steeping finding those little jobs around the house you have been putting off and doing them while checking your grains. I have found by doing that she isnt as upset with the extended process of all grain. :ban:

My fiancé suggested I build an electric brewery after we get the wedding paid for. WOOT! Apparently cutting 4-8 hours out of my brew day is a good investment. Then again, all grain takes me a lot longer then it should.
