Because I had used dried cherries previously in several brews successfully I didn't think to read the ingredients on a new package. Only after I had put them in the new brew. So this morning I decide to check and see that they were coated with Sunflower seed oil. Is there anything I can do? The brew is only 24 hours old.

the oil may rise to the top....if it does, perhaps you can blot some/most of it up with paper towels. I did this once with a flavoring that was oil based and it helped.

That or rack from underneath the floating oil. The challenge is then to clear the oil from the fermenter. A bucket may pose less of a problem than a carboy...
