This past weekend I went to open the cottage up north in Rivière du Loup. A at the same time my first batch I made was almost ready. 17 days in bottle so I decided to bring a few to the cottage.

Wasn't sure what to expect, I brewed my first batch a Pale Ale. The receipe from John Palmer book.

WOW. Didn't know it could be so good. I'm very impressed. It tasted very good and fresh. You could smeel the hops I used and the beer was very clear, much more than I expected it to be. Carbonisation was just right.

I'm very pleased with my first batch and looking forward for the next one.

Here's a few pictures. First sip and the surprised look on my face. That actually tastes pretty good... and did not become blind !

That looks like the english pale ale I brewed as my first batch. Came out so goood!

I remember popping it open and being like wow it opens like beer.... even tastes like beer. I couldn't believe it! I made a good beer!!

Congrats! :mug:

I was so excited after I tried my first one, I got THREE more going within a week! I, of course, slowed down after a while, but I almost always have one working now!

Nothing like the first sip of your own beer.
