The first link is similar to Viking Blood mead, with hibiscus. But the original Viking Blood mead was made with tart cherries, not hibiscus. Here is an interesting history: https://city-steading.com/recipes/viking-blood-mead-whats-the-big-deal/ I realize that you asked about Dragon's Blood, but this is closely related.
They are all clones, our attempt to reproduce an ancient mead. According to the article I linked above, hibiscus introduced in the "Viking's Blod" made by Dansk Mjod in the 1700's. This company still exists! They sell Viking Blod mead made with hibiscus and ginger. They also sell a tart cherry mead called Vikinge Runer. https://mjod.dk/en/our-products/vikinge-runerI assume that Vikings Blood and Dragons Blood mead are all but clones. I make mine with hibiscus and ginger.
