I racked my IIPA to the secondary after approx. 1 week (the krousen had fallen). It has now been in the secondary for approx 1.5 weeks. When I racked, the bubbles had basically stopped. Now, in the secondary the bubbles have increased to approx. 2 per minute and there is a lot of trub at the bottom of the carboy. Is this normal?

I think I will rack this thing again...the problem is I lost a good amount of beer - about 4 beers maybe -racking the first time (I had a problem with my siphon) and I don't want to lose any more.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jim
