I just made a batch of brewers best double ipa the other day. Next week I'm going to switch it into my glass carboy. How long should I leave the beer in the secondary fermenter?

Second question. I just bottled a Russian imperial stout. How long should I wait till I start testing the beer?

Well, When it comes to the question of when to try a beer everyone has a different way of doing it. Depends on patience. I used to try 1 every week just to see the changes take place. Now I give them at least 3 weeks. With a Russian Imperial its going to take at least a month and maybe longer since its big but honestly the longer the better. I would forget about it for a few weeks.

Honestly I would leave the IPA in a primary for like 3 weeks. Its just better that way. If you want to seconday(which is completely unnecessary, unless you are after clarity) I would move it to the carboy and give it a week or 2 just to make it look pretty.
