Until they are done. Use your hydrometer to determine when fermentation is complete. Different yeasts, temperatures, gravities, etc... will all lead to different results.

Lots of variables to your question, I'd say you shouldn't see to much of an extended timeline if any. That said you have a high alcohol beer and you need to have a good pitch of yeast and some o2 at pitch time. With steady fermentation temps you should be done with primary and ready to keg or bottle in two to three weeks.

Exactly 16 days. How do I know? I'm drinking the first pull off one I kegged yesterday and it's perfect.

Ha sounds good... just been reading that doubled generally require a shorter ferm time!? Thoughts ?

For me wlp001 tends to reach FG pretty quickly and reliably, but I like to see the beer clear. Seems like a couple weeks is usually enough but you might be dry hopping or cold crashing so you can't put an exact time on it. As far as a DIPA fermenting faster than a regular IPA that doesn't make sense to me...

I brew IPAs almost exclusively these days and 95 percent I brew are ready to package (keg for me) in under 2 weeks.

7-10 days to ferment, 3 days to dry hop.

Obviously good brewing practices are required (proper yeast handling/amount, fermentation temps, sanitation etc.).
