I tried a beer called 'The Terminator' tonight, which is produced by the Oakham Ales Brewery in UK. It's 7.9% abv and is by far the hoppiest beer I have ever tasted. We know the head brewer quite well and I asked him how many IBU this would be, roughly. He said, well over 100. This was in passing conversation, so that's as much info as I got.

I realise that this isn't an awful lot to go on. This beer was really, really hoppy, towards the end of what I would drink. I could not drink this beer all night.

I just wondered what the most hoppy / bitter beers were that you guys had sampled... I haven't ever tasted a beer this hoppy and the really malty / sweet beers I have tasted had never been too sweet or malty but the taste tonight was overwhelming.
Cheers Bernie

I like Weyerbachers Double Simcoe. A bigger beer would be Dogfish Head's 120 minute IPA at 21% ABV and I think 120 IBU.

Stone Ruination IPA is listed at 100+ IBU's and it's definitely bitter.

Pliny the Elder is around 240 IBU's [somebody correct me if I'm wrong] and I would say that it's the most balanced beer I've tasted.
