Ok. So I'm doing 146 for 30 min, 156 for 1hr. My options are:

1.0 qt/lb in my 146 step and do a mash out.

Or 1.25qt/lb and skip mashout.

Otherwise I'm looking at less than 5qt sparge water.

Opinions?

Belgian strong dark. I guess traditionally it's 3 steps plus mash out but not possible with my equipment.

No mash out. Won't be needed if batch sparging in general and not needed for 5 qt fly sparge since that's such a low volume it won't take long to run off.

If I do mash out I'll only have 5qts. Without mash out I'll have about 13 qts.

Really what it is I can go lower ratio in initial mash or skip mash out. Guessing I should skip mash.

Other option is go to gas station and play scratchers until I win enough money for a herms system.
