I'm making the following beer from Adventures in Homebrewing.

http://www.homebrewing.org/assets/images/AIH%20Yanked%20English%20Mild.pdf

Fermentables:
6 Ibs. Pale Liquid Malt Extract

Specialty Grains:
12 oz Carabrown
12 oz Mild
8 oz Carapils

Boil/Bittering Hops:
1 oz Cascade

Flavoring Hops:
1 oz Cascade

I've read before about not adding as much hops when doing a full boil? How much should I leave out, and do I leave out the Boil/Bittering or Flavoring?

Thanks!

I have never heard of not adding as much hops if you reach full boil. I would put exactly the amount the recipe calls for in the wort and not leave anything out.

It is true that when doing a partial boil like the instructions dictate, that your hop utilization will be lower than if you do a full boil. I think it is because the higher the sugar content of the wort in a partial boil. If you don't know the alpha acid content of the hops and don't have access to a brewing program like BeerSmith to calculate IBUs, I would just follow the kit instructions. I don't think you will gain anything from doing a full boil as opposed to a partial boil when doing a kit with steeped grains and LME.
