One of our corgi's has problems like that too, except he at least limits it to our other corgi or other strange dogs.

we are looking at getting 'head meds' for him. he's an otherwise very loveable dog when he's not going feral on the other corgi.

First of all, I love dogs. I've had many; loved them all to death. They rank right below my children.

And they rank below everyone else's children. And everyone else who comes into my house.

While I think it's great your vet thinks this is treatable, I'd side with caution at all times.

no doubt, he already is put up whenever someone comes over. just want him so he doesn't snap at my son or other dogs in the household. also need to find the funds to fence the backyard@450'(swmbo's wishlist)

Our cockerspanial (sp?) has an issue with his tail stub, and he hurt one of his paws when we were moving and now he has an issue with it when people touch it, kinda funny sometimes. Some times he will either whimper, others he will growl and gnaw on your hand. Plus whenever he sees someone other than the family he runs to them but then if they try to pet him he cowers like he was just hit. Odd thing is since we have had him we have never hit him except like a smack on the nose when he gets into trash... Sometimes it is just very funny to watch new people pet him.

You could have stopped right there! lol I had a Cocker when I was a kid. Great great dog. Wish I had paid more attention to him now as I realize no matter how much I gnored him he always stood watch over me while I worked on my car.

But hed get all excited and pee everywhere when you went to pet him. That sucked.
