does witbier need special techniques?

I've had my northern brewers witbier in primary for 2 weeks.
Wondering if witbiers are more challenging than others.
Do they need more time?
I am going to do a 2nd fermentation, do they typically need to be cleared up more than common ales?

No special steps, nor are they typically harder than other ales. You can add spices like coriander or even orange peels. The beer doesn't need to clear, wheat based beers are generally cloudy which is perfectly acceptable and even expected. With a lot of time they will clear.
