Did a 6 gal batch with low ibu. added 12lbs of pilsner malt and noticed a lot of trub. Also noticed in my boil that it was different. Is that the pilsner malt proteins?
pilsner malt does not leave any more or less trub than other base malts. Im guessing it was either the crush or something with your boil that produced different results. Either way, its trub, doesnt matter
