Alright so bear with me here. I want to apply a ferrule to the bottom of a keg for the heating element, so i have the option to replace the element depending on whether I want to use 240 or 120. I cannot weld but I can silver solder, and I've have had success with welding spuds.
I've looked around but cannot find what I have in mind. Is there such a thing as a piece that has a 2" ferrule on one end and a welding spud on the other end? Something like the two pictures combined below (no pipe thread needed)

If there's no such thing as the above combination, how does this sound....a 2" female NPT welding spud + a 2" male NPT to 2" ferrule piece. (the 2 pictures below)
and
Do you think the second set up would get in the way of a wavy element. Thanks for everything. This community's the bomb. I wouldn't be brewing without this site.
