Do you find Oktoberfest beer or Märzen overly sweet?

I love Maerzen, but find most too sweet. Odell in CO makes a fantastic one.

Its a malty beer style and I like the seasonality of it all, but yeah I dont like Marzen in the least. Sweet, malty, cloying, balanced I dont care what its called, I dont like it. Taking shots at America, really? Piss off. I wonder how many of the 6300 breweries in America some of you are referring to, or do all 6300 possible examples of Marzen in our country suck. Get over yourself.

I’m wondering if it’s just me or if anyone doesn’t enjoy this style as much (while understanding everyone has different tastes).
