do i need to worry

making 2nd batch everything went well .I was using my wortchiller when the hose clamp started leaking.water went on the lid, so i removed the lid and dumped water off it.Bad news is prob a tablespoon of water fell into pot. should i be worried could this ruin my beer

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make a note of it so that if the batch turns out to be infected later on (unlikely), that is noted as a possible cause.

I'm doing my 3rd batch tonight, so I have no wealth of experience to draw on,but .... I can tell you that beer can be very forgiving. Good luck - let us know how it goes.

If the wort was still hot, nothing to worry about at all.

Many extract brewers (and I used to be one of those) only boil 1 or 2 gallons, then top off the rest with water from a hose.

I did that 4 or 5 times and I never had an infected beer. [there were many other problems with those beers, though!]

BTW, I do not recommend this procedure.

i do full boils i have an 8 gallon pot. all though i did have boil overs but i was outside . it was my 3rd brew more problems this time. But i learned some good lessons. so hopefully 4th batch will be smooth. will update after fermentaion thanks
