Do I need to chill down a keg before bottling?

I have a Stone IPA clone that I want to bottle from the keg for a competition coming up. It's from BYO and it turned out to be one of the best beers I made. I forgot to up the efficiency from 75% to my efficiency which is 93% so I ended up with a 10.5% ABV IPA. Whoops.

Anyways, it's almost fully carbed and I don't have a freezer yet. I want to bottle using the device from the "we don't need a beer gun" sticky. Do I need to chill the keg down? I know chilling the bottles before helps with foaming.

Yes you will need to have the keg cold otherwise the CO2 will escape from the beer.

Yup, the colder the better. Ever pour warm soda over ice? It goes flat in 3 seconds.
