Hello all,
I've split my batch of blonde and added 1lb of pepper syrup in one of the halves. (3gallons) how will I figure what the ABV will be on that half? I stirred up the yeast before I divided and got a nice small Krausen and good airlock activity for a couple days so I know the syrup is fermenting.

OG 1.068
FG 1.011 in primary...

I don't know what "pepper syrup" is, but you need to find out what it's points per pound per gallon (PPG) value is, divide it by 3, and add that to your original gravity.

EDIT: Looks like it adds 1.032 PPG, so you'd add 11 to your original gravity (i.e., use 1.079 for your O.G. value when calculating ABV).
