Diluting for a mini mash

My water has a TON of sodium in it (106ppm) so I need to dilute.

My question is that if I use 100% RO or Distilled water knowing that the extract has all the minerals I need - this will not help my mini mash at all.

So is there anything I can do for a mini mash to help my mini mashing water? I want to get the 106ppm of sodium to a minimum through dilution.

You can use 100% RO water with some calcium chloride (to get enough calcium in the wort) and that would work just fine.

Another potential resource for calcium chloride is a commercial product called 'Pickle Crisp'. That may be found in places that carry canning supplies. Of course, you should also have some gypsum on hand for hoppier beers.

Well seems RO water is hard to find. All I could get was distiller water which has ..... Nothing in it. I'll have to rethink this. Yea gypsum and sour malt also.
