VERY NEWB here> Bought a digital temp control on ebay similar to STC-1000 (what i thought i was buying). It only has 6 ports in the back which i take to mean i can only wire for heat or cooling. That is okay but if anyone has a wire diagram please pass.

Can i direct wire to a multiple slot female end? Can post pics if required

Thx,
Jake

You'll probably want to post a model number or pics of it. If in doubt you can also use a multimeter to test for continuity across the 'ports' when they're in closed or open states and this will give you some idea of how it works.

If it's probably similar to the STC 1000 then each port is a relay for either connecting or disconnecting a lead.

Thanks for the reply. No pics yet but i ended up wiring it into the compressor in place of the existing thermostat. It was a GE 7 CF freezer. So far so good. Had the same temp controller and did similar to this guy
