Hello everyone. I could use your help here. I brewed the NB Grapefruit pulpin kit exactly as the directions stated. I added the dry hops and grapefruit peel at the appropriate time, but this is where my problems began. I had an emergency come up that forced me out of town for a couple weeks, then had the craziness that surrounds thanksgiving. Long story short, I have had this batch in secondary for 4-5 weeks now, which is far longer than the instructions state. Did I ruin my batch? If I can bottle it, is there anything I will need to do to save it? Or, am I worried about nothing, and good to go? Any help that you folks can provide would be greatly appreciated!!

Bottle it, you'll be fine. Worst case is you lost out on some of the hops, as its best drank fresh. You'll be fine though, nothing to worry about.

You could have skipped the secondary without any problems and just left it in the primary even longer. I've left a beer for 9 weeks in the primary and from the results of that I should do it more often.

Unless you are oaking your beer or doing a really high gravity batch there isn't any reason to go to secondary. It just invites oxidation and infections. Dry hopping in the primary works just as well as in secondary.
