Brewed a Maibock last week. I've seen some recipes out there that say to do a primary for 1-2 months, and then do the diacetyl rest. But I'm hearing others say to do the diacetyl after fermentation has slowed (while the yeast is still active), usually after 1-2 weeks. Any thoughts on if there is harm to leave the primary at 52F for 4 weeks, even though fermentation has slowed after 1? I'm in no hurry, but if there is reason to do the diacetyl sooner than later, I will.

Thanks!
