Far be it from me to criticize such a well known and well respected recipe. I’m just wondering about that hop combo though. Mt Hood is a lower alpha, American grown “noble” hop substitute. Columbus is one of the high power, ultra high alpha, super “C” hops. They just don’t seem like 2 compatible hops that would blend well and both contribute. I would think the Columbus would just totally overpower the Mt. Hood. I wonder what the purpose of Mt. Hood is in this recipe vs something like Cascade or Centennial? Unless its just what somebody had on hand that day and it turned out well.

But then again I don’t have any widely published and widely brewed internet recipes that I came up with either.
