Dehumidifier?

I have read a couple times on these forums about using a dehumidifier. What's the purpose? And what's the one called that you plug into a wall outlet to dry out and then put it right back in the freezer?

I use it to dry the air inside the keezer. When I open the lid sometimes I get condensation inside and the dehumidifier drys it right up. My humidity is not too bad for most of the year here in southern California, but I also keep an old towel inside as well. The one I use, as you described, is the Eva-Dry E-500. Hope this helps.
