Weather is ridiculously nice today, so I left work a few hours early to drink alcoholic passionfruit juice at the pool.

It's hot here. I'm enjoying a cream ale that I brewed this spring:

I mentioned this before, but we don't discuss the Ugly Lamp. It's a family heirloom that nobody else would take- like the Christmas fruitcake that has been passed around for 40 years. The first rule of the Ugly Lamp is that we don't talk about the Ugly Lamp.

The beer is excellent!

Easily my favorite batch of Beatification to date.

I was driving in Marin County last Wed and thought about asking the wife and kid to stop by RR (random, didn’t know about the release), but we took a different way back to the hotel...doubt the wife would’ve been down with a $120 6-pack though.

I would be more upset about missing pliny bites when given the opportunity.

Transient Spring Lagger (Loral Dry Hopped Helles Lager)

Crisp. Floral. Bready. Refreshing.

Grabbed a case of this on the way home from Ferndale Mead Day festivities last weekend at Transient, and doing my absolute best to kill that case before heading to Madison this weekend for Great Taste of the Midwest. A delicious floral hop aroma with tons of bready / cracker malt character, clean fermentation profile, good carbonation and dry finish. 4% hop forward lager is just about perfect with the weather at the moment.

Cubs on the TV (muted), Phish couch tour on the speakers, and finishing up some prep for my club's AHA / BJCP homebrew competition in October. Have a great evening TalkBeer!
