Speaking of barleywines, maybe Coast should relabel Boy King as one, because these cans are malty as **** with little hop character. There's also some weird medicinal/bubblegum thing going on. And look at that ******* SRM. This used to be one of the best DIPAs in the Southeast. I have no idea what they've done to it but I regret buying a 6-pack. Best thing about it is the cool can design.

I don't get it. They seem to have completely messed it up in their transition to a much larger system. I don't know if they are just having major scaling issues, or what. For comparison, here's a picture from October 2013, when it was still being brewed on their small system. You'd barely think it was the same beer:
