Morning rain put the brakes on another day of tree trimming, so I guess I'll drink and clean the garage. Starting with a single I recently purchased in Colorado. A solid imperial red ale, but the barrel presence comes up missing. The heavy malt hides the 8.7% abv. really well making it dangerously drinkable.

Another barrel aged imperial red ale. I'll take Founders over Odell. The barrel flavor is subtle, but layered with vanilla, oak and bourbon. It's even more dangerous with a creamy feel and 12.2% abv. A much friendlier price too at $14 a four pack vs the $8 a bottle for Odell's.

Agreed. It’s a solid IPA. Definitely prefer the clear IPAs to that haze craze
