Forbidden Root Snoochie Boochies DIPA (New England / Northeast Style)

Tropical Fruit. Chewy. Sweet. Big.

Went to Chicago Beer Society First Thursday (a homebrew / craft beer share event with folks from a long time Chicagoland beer club) at Forbidden Root last night, and grabbed a couple of these to bring home as it was one of the first Midwestern NE IPA's to strike a chord with me (Transient and Hailstorm are also doing pretty tasty things with the style).

Its a big chewy beer that doesn't have the drinkability / clean finish of a West Coast style DIPA, but has a great hop aroma, fluffy head and finishes a bit more bitter than I like.

Still not a convert to the style, but it is growing on me a little bit.
