Im hoping someone who drinks more eclipse than I can chime in here to see if im way off base with my observation.

2 years ago, all the eclipse varietals I tried seemed like they needed time and were green around the edges. So, last year I decided to wait a year before trying any. This is the first bottle im trying from last years release and im just perplexed. What have they done that makes this beer so different from the brew I loved and purchased cases upon cases of? This beer is only a year old and it tastes oxidized with a vegetal aftertaste. Im hoping its just a bad bottle or maybe just the cognac version. I have a grand cru im about to open to compare.

If the grand cru is as off as this, im gonna hate myself for getting futures this year too.
