Official Election Mail informing us of a change in our polling place location for the April 7 mayoral election arrived yesterday. So I'm expecting my DLD tickets to arrive sometime in early June.
Lol. Gerrymandering. Chicago politics at its finest.

Completely off topic but there's a funny article recently done by Time Out Chicago poking fun at some of the ridiculous new shapes of some wards. If you're bored at work it's worth 3 minutes.

Fortunately none of those shenanigans affected me - I remain in the 44th. Our polling place was in a condo building lobby that's being renovated, so it was moved a block up the street to a different condo building. Luckily I got an email about it the week before the election, or I would've showed up at the old location like a *******. Our mail service is terrible here.

That list was great though - in the rest of the country, gerrymandering is used for political advantage...only in Chicago is it used for spite.

Back on the topic of beer, I mentioned that Ghost Scorpion lager to me wife. She told me to have fun having diarrhea in a Munster porta-john. She knows me too well.

So even though I can walk somewhat normally now, is it wrong to contemplate bringing my crutches so I can jump all you in line for bottles?

Am I asking for bad karma by doing so?
Great idea, until you walk out with a BVDL under your arm, drop your crutches, shout "Praise Jesus, I can walk! It's a Dark Lord Day miracle!", and get beat down by 2,000 angry, half-in-the-bag neckbeards.

So at what point do we transition from freaking out about tickets to freaking out about long range weather forecasts?

Today Accuweather has rain in the forecast that day. All is lost.

I am so terrified of contaminated acid rainwater that you will find me drinking out of a sippy cup the whole day. At least, that's what I'll tell folks when they ask why I'm drinking out of a sippy cup.

I got a notice from the USPS that my tickets weren't sent with enough postage. Hoping my dad will be able to pick them up from the post office for me today.

Thats so metal

I haven't received them yet...but more importantly, I haven't received any mail at all since Saturday. Not even a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon or Fitness19 ad. Something is ****** with my mail delivery.
