How are there still rooms open at the Hampton? Got myself one in which to decompress after the enjoying the beers and bands.

It is most likely the result of people who booked rooms way in advance in hopes of getting DLD tickets who ended up not getting them and are just now calling to cancel. The Hampton Inn has a waiting list and calls you up when a room becomes available, its how we got our room.

because they've been telling people for months that they were full/sold out and didn't sell any of the rooms (still not sure why, but whatever, i'm only a little pissy about it). so a bunch of us found other plans and now they have space left i guess!

Maybe try calling the Hampton Inn and see if there are any rooms left? Then cancel the room at the holiday Inn (even if there is a small cancelation fee it will be worth it)

Hampton Inn here as well, I'm bringing a bunch of Lickinghole Creek beers (Enlightened Despot, Tequila Tripel, Supreme leader, Bourbon Tripel ) as well as beers from the brewery I work at and brew for (Adroit Theory - Tequila barrel Trendy IIIPA, Tenebris Tequila Barleywine, Tenebris Smooth Ambler barrel aged Barleywine, Legion Pinot Noir Imperial Stout, What Evil Lurks Nicaraguan rum barrel aged Pumpkin beer @ 13.5%). I am also planning on bringing a few of our Tekus to give out. I can't wait!

ISO Tequilia barrel beers and Teku please!

I would just start calling places, I'm imagining that it's probably pretty difficult to find a room with a shuttle at this point but you never know!

I left around 5:30 last year. 12 hours of drinking is enough for me.

I make it a point to be home by 9 DLD eve. I would venture to guess you drink later at the hotel than I do anywhere else. I also don't live in Chicago or I would probably hit a few bars instead of Flossmoor + random tasting.
