Don't leave us hanging...what was his reply to Thomas Pick's question about having to stand in the bottle line? You just know it's gonna be rich.

You could agree to this and after you get in ditch him. I didn't think you had to be with your 2nd ticket other than when you get in the gates.

Am I miss rembering how bottles work?

Unless they change it up this is correct.

I hope this happens. I want to see douchey shitlords running after each other, one shouting "see ya, sucker" and changing his hat and shirt as he runs (it's the shitlord camouflage defense mechanism), and the other in hot pursuit shouting "we had a deeeeeeeal! I'm gonna give you negative feedbaaaaaaaack!"

Seems like a PPV event. But it would really just end like this

Problem: You love mead. You want to drink mead at DLD. You cannot bring mead inside.

Solution: Bring mead to compound located outside (EDIT: NORTH) gate. Happy to hold mead in locked car parked at compound until you're ready to share said beverage. PM me.

You should consider adding a 3 inch layer of grey-brown rain mud sludge over everything in case it rains like last year again.

Plus, the pee puddles everywhere in the line. So much pee.

Thank god for the tents at the compound.

Last year was my first and I think I the only people I knew were biglobo8971 and mnbearsfan and I sort of thought everyone was together in that area so I think I owe like 3 brats to whoever was on the far end grilling. They came through big time though, would steal again.

Lol. I think that was my group with the brats. At least I vaguely remember grilling brats and we were set up at the far end. We will be set up in the same spot this year I think, come have another brat and share some beers.

So for most of you who set up spots outside the gates do you hangout there all day and then just go in when your group is ready or do you wait in line early then go between both?

Last year we (mnbearsfan and I) set up chairs in the entry line when we got there (I think like 6am?) and then split time between standing under the tents and standing in the line so we didn't lose our spot. Once we got in with the first wave I got hot sauce and a couple pours of BADL then went back to the compound. Matt got glassware and a pour and then came back. Then throughout the day I spent more time hanging out in the compound because the tents blocked the rain. They let us in and out through the exit line so we only had to deal with the cattle gate/entry area once which was cool.

I assume if it's nice I'll spend more time inside this year getting pours and bottles and stuff but still a healthy bit of back and forth.

I remember being able to go back and forth through the exit after you initially enter which is very cool.

I'm hoping to get to meet some of you this year. Last year was more about finding shelter and we got lucky last year getting under a tent by the stage.

Yes. The $40 in vouchers for me are a complete waste. We bring all the food and have more than enough variety and great stuff being poured outside the gates, and we can drink mead, play beer pong, and bring our dogs to join in on the fun without issue. Frankly, going into get the bottles and wait in line is kind of a pain in the ass.

We were group A last year, so we waited in the long-ass line to get in via the north entrance, then headed straight for the bottle allocation line. Once we got our bottles, we then hung out at one compound or another for the vast majority of the day...we only went back in for some dinner, and then at the end to catch Big Freedia.

We're group A again this year, so we'll probably stick with that plan and see how it goes (probably minus the Big Freedia, sadly). Well, with a couple more trips into the fest to spend some of those food/drink tickets.

Yeah I had an extra ticket for group D or E last year that I gave away instead of going back in and standing in line.

That was kind of the next question, are you going to spend more time in the gates with the $40 in tickets or just use those when your getting bottles.

Do you know someone who works at that building or do they just let anyone park there (pay) and you get those spots like that? Just wondering because I've always come on a shuttle and gone back to the city when we left. I never drove in or parked.
