I've been home brewing for a few years now, off and on. The past year or two I haven't been brewing too much, but just started back up a little bit. I'm also an avid triathlete so the two hobbies aren't very complimentary! The bottling is obviously the most annoying part of the process, so my wife made the executive decision to get me a kegerator for Christmas. She picked up the Danby single tap one from Costco, I believe it's this one:

So as far as I can tell I need to fill the CO2, a keg, and to convert to the ball tap connections. As far as a keg goes, there are only a couple on CL, and they're asking about $40-50. So I thought I would just buy one online to save the time of trying to get one off CL. I saw this one is new, $85, and free shipping. Does this seem like a good deal, or are there any other places to purchase that might work out better?

Also, are there any other items I should look into picking up that would be useful? Is there any type of filter needed to keep any sediment from getting into the lines? Anything else I'm missing? Thanks for any help/advice!

Kegconnection has used pinlock kegs with connectors for $35 now.
Torpedo kegs (new) are $89 plus shipping. Your deal is good but not exceptional.

Thanks, I'll check out that site. I was thinking the ball connection kegs were a better option, mostly for the vent ability. That seemed useful, or is it not really?

You can get used ball lock kegs for quite a bit cheaper than buying them new. Homebrewsupply.com has them for under $60 each or kegconnection.com has a sale currently for used $64.95, converted $49.95, or new ball lock kegs $79.95. Also, there was someone on here selling used ball lock kegs for around $30, if I remember correctly. He had a large incoming supply and was updating and selling as he got them. Just some places to look if you are looking for a deal.
