Hi all,

As the title says my Danby is constantly perspiring and building up condensation that spills out on my floor. It seems to be cooling as well as any Danby. Any help would be greeatly appreciated.

Yours is condensating on the OUTSIDE?

Doesn't make much sense.

New kegerator?

Just got it used?

How long has it been happening?

Environment around the cooler (garage, etc)?

Can't say I've any problems with my danby fridge that was converted to a kegerator...

I have a fan that circulates air into the tower (and presumably creates drafts elsewhere, too) and a reusable dehumidifier (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H0XFCS/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20) in there though. I only really ever notice condensation when I open the door and let fresh air in...

Check your door gasket and other seals. It seems like could be a leak that allows warm moist air from the outside in. Cold air can't hold as much moisture as warm so it ends up condensing inside and leaking out.

You may want to throw a passive dehumidifier in there too if it's a problem, along w/ a small fan to circulate air.

I picked mine up off amazon.

+1 on checking seals though, and make sure any ports into the fridge are sealed as well. I've only had significant condensations with keezers - fridges have always been good to go.

If you have any kegs on tap, last thing to check is the corny keg seals and your hose connections. I had a converted fridge kegorator in college - My faucet hose was loose on my first keg. 3 cases of beer leaked into the rug of my dorm room. Not pretty.

Here's a picture of the dehumidifier in case you need it.

THanks everyone,

SO i think that my issue was the seal, and mostly that the door just wasnt shutting properly. I cleaned up the surface around the door and did the resistor trick I have seen on multiple forums and it seems to have done it. I think I will invest in fans and a dehumidifier as well. Any other suggestions?
