Cutting my kegs.

I just recently bought a couple beautiful kegs for cheap on craigslist and now I'm at a loss as to how to get them cut. Guess I should have thought of that before . Anybody near Gaithersburg MD who would be willing to cut a couple kegs in exchange for some homebrew?

Your local welder would be happy to cut them.

I cut mine with a friend's plasma cutter. If you do not have a friend with one, nor do you have any of the tools or a local welder, I'd ask you car mechanic if he has one. Takes less than a minute to cut the top off one.

Seriously, think about cutting the BOTTOM out and using the top to drain. Best thing eva

I use a bottom drain HLT for the time being... Just got my second keg for a bottom drain MLT... I will be using a combination of a RIMS heater and if need be, a direct fire set up... I am working on a solution for the direct fire... Will post up when I get to it...

wish I could find a couple of Kegs here in So Cal. brewery told me there is a Keg shortage because so many home brewers are confiscating them.

your in SoCal man I already searched OrangeCraigs list for kegs and there are there. I'll be out in OC in December so I was just seeing what was out there.
