I dont know if anyone has ever attempted to do this or not, hoping someone has and has some advice. I want to cut the top of a growler right at the bottom of the handle. I have to travel over the week of valentines day and thought it would be cool to have flowers delivered to my GF using a growler from her favorite brewery as the vase. I used to work at Lowes while in college and cut glass all the time, but that was flat plane glass, not sure if it will work the same with a growler.

They make a jig just for this purpose.

There are a few different brands and designs to choose from. This one is not rated very high, but I'm sure you could find something that will work well. I've used one many years ago with great success. I've made drinking glasses and even cut a coke bottle in half and glued one half on the inside of an aquarium, and the other half on the outside to make it look as if the bottle was stuck into the glass.

Why spend the 20 bux for the glass cutter when you can use stuff that you already have around the house (or your GF's house). You'll need:
- nail polish remover
- string
- a lighter or matches
- a sink full of cold water
- sand paper
