I don't believe there is such a thing as genetic high metabolism. Metabolism is the amount of energy your body needs to survive. It depends on muscle mass age weight. We all have the same base rate, then we control the results, through exercise, weight, and sleep. If you think you have high metabolism that usually means you are just burning more calories than you take in. Its all numbers. Whatever is not burned is consumed and adds to your waistline.

So how is your diet and exercise plan going? Its been a number of months.

Nah, I'm good. Thsnks for asking though.

I do need to eat healthier. I am horrible at grabbing a bag of sunflower seeds and destroying the whole thing in one day.

I've dropped 25 pounds and my beer belly in 6 weeks. Motivation, 1 hour workout, healthy diet. I drink 2-3 beers a night

That's what I mean. When I played soccer in my youth I played alongside other kids who couldn't go near a fast food place and would add on the pounds. Me on the other hand, I was all over the burgers and fries and I'd lose weight!:rockin:
It's very easy to eat home cooked or restaurant food and exceed the calories of a fast food meal by far. It's not like they have special meat with three times the calories in a McDonald's burger.

One weight loss tip I've read and struggle with is to go to bed earlier in the night. Most of the food a person eats late at night is usually no prep junk food.

Personally I find that when I drink a beer I start craving something salty (unless I'm drinking a stout, then may something sweet it depends). So combine a late night with a beer (or two) and you'll find me in the cupboard looking for chips or crackers.

Will power, I needz it!:(

Nice work!

If I cut back on beer it's because I don't want to feel like ass the next day. I ride my bike enough that I don't gain much weight if I let it get out of hand for a stretch. I do have a slight belly, could stand to lose 10 or so pounds, but I'm 5'7 or 5'8, 167lbs, still wear 32 or 33in pants and medium tshirts...so I'm good with that, mostly.

Very well! Down 37 pounds in two months. Haven't had a beer in that time but have replaced some of those calories with food. Loss coming from a combo of no beer + way less late night snacking with those beers. I did eat a healthy plant-only diet beforehand with no processed foods, sugary stuff, chips, etc. My weight gain was purely beer. I have not changed exercise routine, I walk my kids in the stroller every night about a mile or so. I run once a week or so.

Feels good to fit into all my not fat clothes again.

I eat like crap. I don't get enough exercise and drink too much. yet, I'm 5'7" and weigh about 120. y'all need to get a tape worm just like me! bwahahahahhahaa!!!!
