so if black is buna-n, red is silicone. what are the white lid o-rings made out of, and what be a lube for them?

most of mine are black, but i do have 1-2 white ones. not sure what they are made from....

Not a huge fan of them for beer because they are fairly o2 permeable. Probably not a big deal for you as you go through your kegs pretty quickly. :bigmug:

thanks for doing the leg work...didn't think to check more beer....

Dang! My new kegs came with white and I want a batch to last a couple or three months. I wonder whether it would be worth replacing all the rings with less permeable black BUNA. The war against oxygen takes another turn...

glad my question and @marc1 's work on it benefited more then just me!

strange thing, i think a lot of people prefer the white ones because their bigger/softer though?

There's some data out there on the interwebs such as this. Not sure how worried too be about keg o-rings vs. tubing. Time is a key factor.

according to that, i might see if silicone tape is cheaper then tyvek! ;) lol (i didn't see neoprene listed though?)
