If you buy crushed grain in bulk, does it age poorly? How long can you safely store it? ....Any other storage issues?

Thx.

if you're going to buy in bulk, invest in a mill - even a cheap corona mill.

Kept cool & dry, unmilled grains will keep for a very long time (year, or more). Crushed grains won't last nearly that long - more surface area = faster staling.

I have used crushed grains that were 3 months old & they were fine. It is important to keep dry, cool, & stored in an air tight container.
