Hey Guys,

I don't normally stray far outside IPA land but I was looking at making something different for St Patricks Day. I am gonna test brew a batch this weekend before hand, but wanted to know what you think of this recipe. Looking for some malty/nutty/roasty red flavor:

Mash @ 154.
 
In my opinion, you need roasted barley in an Irish red for color and roasty flavor.
 
+1 on the roasted barley...around 2-3 oz for 5 gallons should give you a nice red color

I would also back the C60 down a bit, and probably ditch the flaked barley.
 
Awesome, thanks guys. Ill back down candi a bit, ditch the flaked barley. I picked up 2oz of roasted barley today and will go with that.
